Mexico boasts ideal weather year round. Relax and soak up the sun on the beautiful Riviera Maya beaches and visit the famous El Castillo in the historic Chichen Itza. For those looking for an adventure, Mexico is the perfect destination, as it offers zip lining, hiking, and cave diving. Say no more! Just be sure to look out for any Spring Break crowds around the resort areas.
2. Sydney, Australia
Sydney is another great bargain, as the Australian dollar is almost 10% cheaper than last year. Visit the dinosaurs at the National Museum of Natural History, see the planes at the National Air and Space Museum, and monkey around at the National Zoo. This city has no end to its sightseeing potential!

March is the ideal time to visit the Big Apple. The cold winter temperatures are coming to an end, but the summer heat is still holding off. This is also a great time to visit the city before the bulk of tourists begin to descend, so you won’t have to fight through crowds once you’re there! Take a stroll through Central Park, gaze at the Neo-Gothic architecture of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and take in the city from above at the Top of the Rock observation deck. Don’t forget to see the art at the Met and MoMA before catching a show on Broadway!

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on March 17, so why not celebrate in the country where it all began?! Take a tour at the Guinness Storehouse or the Old Jameson Distillery, and make sure to check out St. Patrick’s Cathedral while you’re celebrating the Saint himself. Of course, you can’t miss out on visiting the National Leprechaun Museum, because how cool is that?!
7. Reykjavík, Iceland
Dubbed the Land of Ice and Fire, Iceland in general is a must visit. But Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, is a vibrant city with plenty of things to do and see and should be the base for your time in Iceland. Learn about Iceland’s Viking past, shop on Laugavegur street, or dine at some of the city’s finest restaurants. There are also some great day trips possible from Reykjavík, like Snaefellsnes peninsula or the Golden Circle. March is one of the nation’s least busy times, allowing you to enjoy Iceland without the crowds.
8. Hangzhou, China
This charming east coast city is the little-known spring destination of many Chinese. Take advantage of March’s warm weather and wander around the awe-inspiring West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and look out for the peach flower blossoms which will be blooming this month. Visit the picturesque water towns of Wuzhen, Xitang, or Nanxun, then learn the art of tea making at Meijiawu Tea Village before exploring the city’s Buddhist heritage at Lingyin Temple.
