Rain on Your Wedding Day?
Eric and Alisa said I Do in September at Prospect House in Dripping Springs. Boy did they know how to make the best of the weather on their wedding day! Although it was a cloudy overcast day, everyone had high hopes that the weather would cooperate for the ceremony. There is nothing more stressful than anticipating rain on the day of your outdoor wedding! Luckily, the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony and as the storm blew in, created quite a dramatic setting in the backdrop of the altar.
Following the ceremony, after a bold gust of wind and a quick down poor, the rain stopped and the sun broke through the dark clouds. Not only did the skies part, but a rainbow showed up, giving them an even more perfect setting for cocktail hour.
Now not everyone always gets as lucky as Eric and Alisa, but the odds were in their favor! Even though the dark skies had us all holding our breath, everyone remained positive and focused on having a good time. If anyone knows how to have a good time, it’s Eric, Alisa, and their friends! They weren’t going to let anything rain on their parade… literally.
So after experiencing this huge blessing, our advice to you would be to not let a little rain ruin your special day. Keep calm, stay positive, and always have a plan B! Here in Texas, you can never predict what the weather will be like! It consistently changes and it’s never reliable. So even if it’s clear skies in the morning, that doesn’t mean there won’t be thunderstorms at night. Be prepared!
Not only did the weather work out for Eric and Alisa’s big day, but the little details they chose to make their wedding unique were absolutely gorgeous as well and we have the pictures to prove it! We can’t wait for you to see the work of Max Krubsack and Alec Campbell. Take a scroll and save these gems for a rainy day 🙂
